The Phâro Academy Training Programme

A structured, online, three-level pathway that develops practitioners from beginners into advanced professionals—and ultimately into certified educators and leaders. Levels 1 and 2 together form the full Proficiency Certification required to become a qualified Phâro Sugaring Therapist. With relevant experience, graduates may progress to Level 3, which qualifies them as Phâro Sugaring Trainers.

Who is This For?
This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to work as what was traditionally called a Waxing Therapist, either working in a salon, starting a home business or even your own salon. 

Our students are across a diverse spectrum of ages, qualifications and nationalities driven by a desire to create a career or business in an industry that is enduring and that offers flexibility and growth potential.

Many Pharo Sugaring students are traditional waxing therapists who have come to appreciate that “Sugar is the new wax” and that they can offer their clients a significantly improved hair removal experience without the Ouch of traditional waxing.

You will also recieve a complete product kit to support you through your training and on successful completion will recieve the appropriate Pharo Sugaring Certificate that is your stepping stone to a career in a range of beauty industries..

Level 1: Foundation in Sugaring

Introduces the science of sugaring, hair-removal theory, product knowledge, and core practical skills.

Students learn the fundametnals – safe practices, hair and skin anatomy, hygiene, assessment of the clients suitabilitry for the treatment, record keeping and more. You will then be guided through to becoming competent in application on arms and legs. An important element of the training is client engagement and communication and w ecover basic skills in these areas.

Focus: Safety, hygiene, consultation, and foundational application.
Assessment: Online quiz, practical video, and trainer feedback.

Material Provided: As part of signing for this course you will recieve the comprehensive Pharo Sugaring Training Kit which has all the products you will need to go through this course and the subsequent ones as well.

Level 2: Advanced Sugaring Areas

A large percentage of salon business comes from tratments in areas where shaving is not an option.

This course covers Pharo Sugaring for advanced zones including bikini, Brazilian, underarms, face, chest, and back. Trainees learn best practices and will develop precision, sensitivity management, and client communication skills. The Professionalism & Business module builds salon-ready skills in ethics, client care, stock management, and retail.

Focus: Advanced treatment zones, professionalism, and salon operations.
Assessment: MCQ quiz, scenario tasks, and a case-history project.

Level 3: Educator & Business Growth

Prepares experienced therapists to become Phâro educators, mentors, and regional leaders. Training includes adult-learning methods, coaching skills, marketing, loyalty programme integration, and distributor support.

Focus: Education delivery, coaching, business leadership, and distribution.
Assessment: Lesson plan, mock-training video, business case, and live educator evaluation.

Programme Outcome

Together, these three levels provide a complete training pathway—from technical mastery to professionalism and leadership—equipping Phâro graduates to easliy attain other international standards (ITEC, CIDESCO) and real-world salon success.
